The passed 2nd of december at 19:00h, Representarte opened with a vernissage, the exhibition of the painters Acebuch (Jesus Gomez) and Josep Canela. It took place in the art gallery wich is located in Avenida Diagonal 609-615 (Pedralbes Center), Floor A - Shop 33. We can delight ourselves with the paintings of this two artists untill the 25 of december 2004.
The artist Jesus Gomez Ortega “ACEBUCH”, Drawing and pictorical tecniques teacher in Escuela Municipal de Terrassa, shows his work under the tittle “A look at the quimera”.
“I do not use quimera in the traditional sense of a fantastic thing (because it isn’t) but in the remarking of quimera as a simbolic text with a poetic meaning…”
the artists resumes like this his work: “ I paint the membrane that separates the fence of the two universes, that melt within us like frontier beings that we are. My main goal would be to describe what I call the two fences (term extracted from the thoughts of Eugenio Trias. The logic of the limit.),from the pure memory, keep all the details of the world and how, in its thirts of survival, human nature construct dreams with that material of multiples units (nature of nature, from Edgar Morin) to construct the posibility of a real phenomenon of subjective existance, many of them imposible realities. The goddes, the mother, dictates the laws of life and death. That’s the way I paint.”
Josep Canela groups his new work under the tittle “One hundred years”. The artist recalls with this exhibition, his childhood in the countryside of tarragona surrounded by vids.
One hundred years is the age of this plants, that untill this day, are still giving it’s fruit. The tones he uses make a relation to earth and to the value generated by the products that grow from it.
This exhibition is a tribute to earth and to the people that untill this day live there in rough conditions.
